Getting Around the City
Rome offers many choices for getting around the city easily: taxis, public transport (trams, metro, buses) and bike sharing services; just choose your destination and discover the capital.
By Taxi
By calling the number 060609 you can get a taxi anywhere in Rome. More information and the list of the main stations can be found at www.060608.it, the website of the Municipality of Rome.
By Public Transport
The city has a metro service (lines A, B, C), buses and trams. For information on lines and tickets, see the Atac Roma website.
By purchasing the Roma Pass, you can use all public transport and benefit from discounts for museums, theaters, tourist attractions and shops.
If you would rather take a tour of the city on a panoramic bus, with the tourist lines City SightSeeing, GreenLine and I Love Rome, you can visit the most important places in the city.
By Bike
If you want to be eco-friendly, get around the streets of the Capital by bike!
If you have your own bicycle, you can take it with you on every means of transport bearing the symbol of a red bicycle on a white background.
If you do not have one, you can rent it at one of the bicycle rental points in the city; you can use the cycle paths along the river Tiber and inside Villa Borghese, or even ride your bike through the streets of the city center.
More info can be found at www.060608.it.
Alternatively, with the new bike sharing oBike service you can rent and park your bike anywhere in the city, using the dedicated app. All information regarding this service and how to download the app can be found at the oBike website.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
