How to Get to Rome

To Rome by Car

Coming from the North of Italy, A1 Milan – Rome

From the West, Statale Aurelia and A12 Civitavecchia – Rome highway

From the East, A24 L’Aquila – Rome highway

From the South, A1 Napoli – Roma highway

To Rome by Bus

The terminal of most of transport companies is Tiburtina Station, second hub of the city, connected to the metro B line  and many bus lines.

To Rome by Train

From the Termini Station, interchange hub with the two main metro lines (A and B).

From Tiburtina Station, where you can take metro line B.

Both stations are connected with many bus lines to all directions, taxis and car rental services with or without driver.

To Rome by Plane

From the Leonardo da Vinci airport in Fiumicino, about 30 km from the city, you can take the direct Leonardo Express train to Rome Termini, the Frecciargento (from/to Termini Station/Tiburtina), the regional train FL1 to Stazione Tiburtina. There are also bus companies that will take you to the city, such as Terravision,  SitBusShuttle, Atral and Cotral ordinary lines .

In the square in front of the airport, taxis and car rental services with or without a driver are also available.

From the Ciampino Giovanni Battista Pastine airport, about 20 km from the city, you can get a train from the Ciampino city station, connected with the airport via the Atral lines .

You can also choose to go by bus, taking the Atac line720  to Laurentina station (metro B), or alternatively the Atral service to Anagnina station (metro A), using the Terravision service, SitBusShuttle                    .
